At Globalfit we use different types of yarns to produce webbings, cords and laces. Knowing each material is fundamental so you can make the most adequate choice to your project, and here we will approach briefly the main characteristics of each yarn.

Polyester: has a great cost/benefit relation, and for beeing the most commom yarn in the market, there is a huge number of materials and colors available that are using this yarn.

Polyester Stretch: offers a higher elongation when compared to polyester. This elongation provides important advantages in some applications, like with laces, where the lace will shape better to the feet during use, bringing more confort and helping in knot retention.

Repreve® Recycled polyester: has the same performance and visual as the polyester, but it's manufacturing is done by using plastic bottles. Globalfit uses 100% of recycled polyester from Repreve®, also certifying our products internationaly.

Polyamide 6.6: provides soft touch, besides higher volume and elongation, when compared to most yarns. Therefore, it's an excelent choice to those applications where there is contact with skin, which happens very often in the case of elastics. It's also a great choice for laces, since it shapes easily to the the feet and helps in knot retention.

Amni Soul® Biodegradable Polyamide 6.6: polyamide with accelerated biodegradability properties has the same performance and visual of polyamide, but it's composition allows the yarn to decompose in earth after 3 years. All products manufactured in this category are using 100% of Amni Soul® yarn.
